Our patients need us. We should be the lifeline that they deserve during this difficult time. I still see patients during the pandemic, but on a limited basis with extremely strict precautions in place to protect my patients and employees.
One of the top ways to engage with patients is through social media. Social media ads, automated social media posts, and email campaigns are the best marketing “bang for your bucks” tools to use during COVID-19 and on. If you are not purchasing inexpensive Facebook and Instagram ads, you are missing out on direct, in your face contact with your current patients, as well as, future patients.
Facebook and Instagram live, as well as YouTube videos can help get much needed information out to all your patients at one time. Email marketing campaigns can include the videos and help you get useful content to your patients by maintaining that virtual connection.
Additionally, I would use my staff to contact inactive patient and complete a “wellness check” on them to offer support during this time. The biggest mistake would be not to keep in touch. Your clients are at home and some are home alone. Taking the time to do a wellness check in can be vital. Let them know that you understand that life as we know it has changes and we are adjusting to the change to make sure that our clients still receive the care that they expect and deserve.
